If you enjoy Avalon and want to help support the comic and the artist, you can use this page to make a monetary donation. Donating is entirely optional -- Avalon will always be provided absolutely free of charge, and there is no obligation to donate anything. This is just one way readers can show their appreciation.

Donations can be made using PayPal, a free service which allows easy money transfers between just about anyone on the Internet. To make a donation, follow these steps:

1. Click on the PayPal Donate button below (it will load a new page in this window, so read ahead first):

1. If you do not already have a PayPal account, click the Sign Up button to create one -- signing up is absolutely free. Neither a credit card nor a chequing account is required; click here for more info from PayPal.
2. If you do have a PayPal account, enter your desired donation amount in the Amount box. Then enter your login info below, and click Continue.
3. A screen will appear to confirm your donation. You can choose alternate funding options here (ie. if you have more than one credit card assigned to your account). Click Pay to complete the donation.

And by now you should have successfully made a donation! I truly appreciate anything you might have to offer, as it will help both Avalon and myself greatly.

I guess I may as well answer some obvious questions right away:

What fees does PayPal charge?
The only fees you will have to pay as a donor are for conversion of funds to U.S. dollars, when using a non-U.S. credit/debit card; the conversion fee is 2.6% + $0.30 per transaction (click here for more info). If you are an American, you will pay no more than what you choose to donate.
As the recipient, I am charged up to 2.2% + $0.30 for each transaction (for a credit card donation of $15 or more) -- a very reasonable rate for credit card payments (Click here for PayPal's fee schedule). I will also have to pay the currency conversion fee when I choose to withdraw any donated money from my PayPal account.

How can I donate money to other webcomic artists?
Some artists have already set up donation methods on their web sites (like this one); use those if they exist. Otherwise, you can use traditional PayPal methods to send money to *anyone*. If the recipient doesn't have a PayPal account, they can create one instantly (and at no charge) in order to receive your donation. It would be courteous to inform an artist that you wish to make a donation before you actually do so; some artists may not accept donations, and you should be sure of that before you send them money.
