    And the most evil thing is... Barney the Dinosaur! The Purple Menace took an entire quarter of all votes. Coming in a close second were the Backstreet Boys with 23%. Perpetually-rising gas prices took 19% of the vote, and Pokemon 18%. The Gap ended up being the least evil of the bunch, taking just 14% of the vote.

    Today marks Avalon's 100th comic strip! I apologize for the large filesize, but I thought I'd celebrate by pissing off dial-up users. ;-) And just to clarify, I don't actually think Barq's bites, but it's just too convenient a phrase to pass up. :-)

    Huge thanks to all of this week's Sunday Guest Artists! There was a flood of submissions, and almost half of them were related to the Ryan-OS storyline, so I put all of those up as links today. Esyla got hers in first, though, so she gets the front page. Thanks to everyone who submitted something this week; yours will be seen on a Sunday very soon!
    Also, some info on the IRC #webcomics channel has been added to the Misc. section, including a (very atypical) sampling of some discussions that have occured in there.

    Yesterday marked the end of Avaspin: the Avalon/Sit and Spin crossover. Thanks, Corey!
    Meanwhile, last week's doughnut poll results are in... the foul Boston Creme won with 31%, with the infinitely better Choclate Glazed settling for a close second at 29%. Icing with SPrinkles took 13%, Cruller 10%, and Plain and Strawberry Frosted tied for last with 9% each. No, it doesn't add to 100%, but that's how they rounded. :-)
    And there's been a sudden influx of Guest Artists for Sunday... I may have to post two comics tomorrow. So make sure you drop by to see them. :-) If you miss them, you can always find the Guest Artist Sundays on the menubar to the left.

    Two new things to the site: first, you can access the weekly archive using the "W" arrow buttons under the comic strip. And second, there's a nifty little Keenspot dropdown over on the right, where you can quickly jump to some other kick-arse webcomics.
    And check out this brand new webcomic by a fellow Ottawan, Gisèle Lagacé: Cool Cat Studio! It involves cats, so go take a look! :-)

    Yes, all this week it's an Avalon/Sit and Spin crossover! Make sure to read Avalon first, and then head over to Sit and Spin for the rest of the action!

    Welcome to avalonhigh.com! Thanks to Keenspot, Avalon now has a new home complete with a new domain name, new design, and new message board. I also have a new e-mail address: josh@avalonhigh.com (the old one still works, though).
    Feel free to head over to the message board to give me your opinions on the changes. Also, if anything's wrong/missing from the new site, let me know!
    And it may not be obvious yet, but Avalon is embroiled in a furious crossover with Sit and Spin! All this week, make sure you read S&S right after Avalon to get the full story!

    Okay, Ceilidh is up 2-and-0 over Phoebe, winning with a total of 65%. The Scottish thing was the clincher yet again. :-)
    Yeah, it's a really lame poll this week. :-)
    Oh, and there are currently no new Sunday comics submitted yet. If you want to draw something for tomorrow, send it to me before midnight! Remember, anyone can draw anything they want... don't be afraid to kill off characters in high dramatic fashion! ;-)

    Well, according to the latest poll, 70% of people prefer the weekly archive format, and 30% like the daily. So I'll probably just institute both. :-)
